In the new drama-thriller "The Tourist", Johnny Depp stars as an American tourist whose playful dalliance with a stranger leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger in The Tourist.

During an impromptu trip to Europe to mend a broken heart, Frank (Depp) unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

It takes one heck of a leading man to share screen time with Angelina Jolie. But Johnny Depp's quiet sex apeal ensures that the attention is equally shared in The Tourist, which hits theaters Dec. 10. "It was good fun," the actor told iVillage about the costars' families spending time together off screen. "Kids playing video games, the old guys -- me and Brad (Pitt)-- sitting around the table with (girlfriend) Vanessa (Paradis) and Angie hanging out talking. It was wonderful."

Ruggedly sexy Johnny Depp offers fans a sly smirk as he walks the red carpet at the New York City premiere of the steamy spy thriller The Tourist on Dec. 6.

At the Berlin premiere held on Dec 14, Angie & Brad, the Dashing Duo dazzled on the red carpet!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt look gorgeous, as always -- but we can't quite understand why Angie needs gloves built into her elegant, velvet dress. No time for a mani, perhaps? More photos of Angie & Brad at the World Premiere!

Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Famous Faces

The Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces, which has been published, in various formats, every year since 1990… and in recent years has been seen by millions of unique visitors from around the world, has revealed the 100 most beautiful faces of 2010!

This list is only about beautiful celebrity faces. Unlike the Maxim, FHM, Askmen & People lists, it is not based on the “sexiest”, “hottest” or “best body”. As this is an international list with input from all over the world, you may discover some relatively unfamiliar faces. Despite fame being a prerequisite, it is certainly not based purely on public popularity. There will definitely be a few big name exclusions because of the specific criteria evaluated — Some who would make the “sexiest” lists may not be known for their facial aesthetic. Over 75 countries have been represented in the Top 100 over the years.

Actress Song Hye Kyo is the first Korean woman to make it on the annual list in its 21-year history. Japan's Nozomi Sasaki, in 33rd place, was the only other Asian on this year's list.

Surprisingly, she did not only take a place in the list but also secured a place in the top 20, placing 18th. She is also the first Korean actress to rank this high on the chart, which is a great achievement for herself and Korea.

The website picks its favorite celebrities based strictly on their face, and predicted that Song may jump higher on the list next year. "We look forward to seeing her in next year's Top 10," it said.

Song ranked higher than many global celebrities including Monica Belluci and Scarlett Johansson who came in at 25th and 42nd, and Jessica Alba and Megan Fox at 53rd and 64th.

First place went to U.S. model and actress Camilla Belle, while Emma Watson, star of the "Harry Potter" movies, was runner-up.

Hollywood Stars to Promote Hansik (Korean Food)

By Ines Min

In a time when Korea is making headlines due to tensions with its northern partner and most Westerners ask natives timidly "From the North or South?" one Korean-American pioneer seeks to finally find success in the long-embattled fight to get the word out and distinguish South Korea — via "hansik", or Korean food.

"Kimchi Chronicles" has entered its final production stages, producers announced Friday at a press conference in central Seoul. Following the conclusion of a three-day shoot with Hollywood actress Heather Graham ("Austin Powers"), reporters were shown a short promotional clip of the upcoming show — which begins airing early next year on the acclaimed U.S. public network PBS.

Marja Vongerichten, wife of the world-famous Michelin chef Jean-Georges, hosts the hansik-focused documentary, serving as the inspiration and motivation for the crew. "Chronicles" follows Marja, Jean-Georges and daughter Chloe across the country as they sample cuisine from Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island, Sokcho, and Jeolla and Gangwon Provinces. Guest stars include Graham and actor Hugh Jackman ("X-Men"), who was appointed a goodwill ambassador for Seoul last year. He finished shooting a segment in New York last month, producers said.

"We use food as a vehicle to introduce Americans to Korean culture, the Korean people and to, frankly, put Korea on the map for Americans", said director Charles Pinsky, founder of Frappe Inc., whose last travel documentary focused on Spain.

Heather Graham, who first met the host at a Jean-Georges restaurant, travels with Marja from the nation's two largest cities. Sampling everything from the freshest fish at Jagalchi Market in Busan, to temple fare at Bongeun-sa Temple in Seoul, Graham remarked that her favorite dishes were "bibimbap" (rice mixed with vegetables), "bindaetteok" (mung bean pancakes) and "tteok" (rice cake).

While the actress admitted to not knowing much about the country before her visit, she gained a lot culturally during her short stay. And as for what she thinks will work in the U.S.?

"I think Korean barbecue is very accessible to Americans because it's sort of similar to something we know, but with different flavors", Graham told reporters. "But I like the 'banchan' (side dishes); I think a lot of people would love that".

For Marja, the goal is to not only introduce Korean culture through its food, but to teach how it can be brought into a familiar setting.

"I think you can still keep traditional Korean food traditional, but also add your own flair and personal preferences", she said, such as bindaetteok with an extra crispness, or "kimchi jjigae" (kimchi stew) with a salted dried seaweed garnish. The series will conclude with the launching of her cookbook of Korean recipes.
Marja, who was adopted into an American family from a young age, has a personal connection with the show — discovering her roots. After fatefully finding her mother in Brooklyn, N.Y., and tying her culinary passion with a sense of home, the show came naturally.

"Food is my first connection and solid anchor that I knew: 'This is my culture'."

The effervescent host was open to the myriad avenues of hansik as well ("Bring it all on!"), lending to an authenticity viewers will experience. Everything from the southern coast's famous "milmyeon" (wheat noodles) and the all-time favorite "samgyeopsal" (barbecue pork belly) are explored in the show, as well as the lesser-known "mom gook" (spicy pork and seaweed soup).

Graham also intends to continue her Korean education back home, with an invitation to learn recipes with Marja. But perhaps one of the most valuable experiences gained was the transformation of her overall image of the capital city.

"I didn't realize how affluent, gorgeous it is, and how the women here dress amazing", Graham laughed. "It's such a cool city, with so much going on... I think Americans think bombs are going off every second, and they don't realize how safe and wonderful it really is to be here".

"Kimchi Chronicles" comprises of 13 half-hour long episodes and starts airing in January.

Animal Stars of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" Arrive at the premiere in Tours, France

Remember Milo? The lovely little dog and the only friend of Stanley Ipkiss (played by Jim Carrey) in the 1994 movie The Mask? Cute, issn't it? It's played by Max, a purebred Jack Russell terrier, a breed known all over the world as particularly lively, intelligent and appealing. It's so adorable it kinda steal the limelight in the show.

Recently the animal stars of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" arrives at the premiere in Tours, France. Here are some photos of this lovely lot.

Hedwig was Harry Potter's pet Snowy Owl and magical familiar. She's a female but, in the movie, the actors playing her are males. She was a gift to Harry on his eleventh birthday from Rubeus Hagrid in 1991 on their journey together to Diagon Alley. Isn't she beautiful? I love the photo above. I love her smile. Great photo!

‘The Warrior’s Way’ flashes its mettle

The heat is on Jang Dong Gun (Hangul: 장동건; Hanja: 張東健), the first Korean actor to star in a major Hollywood film.

"The Warrior's Way" (《黄沙武士》) was screened at a press event at COEX, southern Seoul. The film stars Korean actor Jang Dong Gun, left, and American actress Kate Bosworth (born January 2, 1983). [NEWSIS]

The highly anticipated film "The Warrior's Way" was finally released to local media on 22nd November at a press screening in southern Seoul.

Led by renowned Hollywood producer Barrie M. Osborne, whose works include "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Matrix" (1999), this computer graphic-heavy Hollywood film has created a great deal of buzz because of its stellar creative team, which includes art director Dan Hennah, who participated in the 2005 version of "King Kong", and visual-effects art director Christian Rivers, who worked on The Lord of the Rings.

The global cast of A-list actors includes American actress Kate Bosworth and Australian actor Geoffrey Rush. Bosworth plays Lynne, a lady who dreams of killing her enemy, while Rush portrays a former cowboy who is now a drunk.

But what makes this film special for Korean moviegoers is the presence of Korean actor Jang Dong-gun, who is making his Hollywood debut in this film.

Jang got his start in the television drama "Our Heaven" in 1993. Since then, he has risen to superstardom here with roles in hit films such as "Taegukgi" (2004) and "Friend" (2001).

The film is directed by first-time Korean-American filmmaker Sngmoo Lee, who said the most difficult part of the production process was creating a unique setting entirely through the use of CG techniques.

"I didn't want to remind viewers of a particular country, because this is an action fantasy film", he said. "We had to create a fantastic and dreamy world, but it's all make-believe".

The film features the fight choreography of Japanese action director Yuji Shimomura, a protégé of Donnie Yen (甄子丹). Jang Dong Gun is best known in the West for his role 2004 tear jerking war movie "Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War" (태극기 휘날리며), as one of the two brothers. Followed by the 2005 movie "The Promise" (simp:无极; trad:無極), which was not so succesful commercially seen, considering the fact that it had a stellar cast namely; Cecilia Cheung (simp:张柏芝; trad:張柏芝), and Nicolas Tse (simp:谢霆锋;trad:謝霆鋒 ) and a Mandarin speaking Hiroyuki Sanada (真田広之).

The fantasy action film tells the story of a lonely swordsman (Jang) who hides in a small town and learns how to build a relationship with the townspeople.

Even though most people may assume that having to speak in English is the most difficult part of Jang's new role, Jang said the hardest part was starting all over again in Hollywood,

"Of course it wasn't easy to act while speaking a different language, but the more challenging thing was that I had to prove myself to people who have no idea about me and what I can do", Jang told reporters at the press screening.

Jang is not the first Korean actor to cross into Hollywood. Lee Byeong Heon played a supporting role in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" in 2009 and is also scheduled to appear in the sequel. Singer-actor Rain appeared in "Ninja Assassin", also in 2009.

But whereas his fellow actors were cast in supporting roles, Jang is the star of this film, which was reported to have a production budget of $100 million. That means the pressure is all on him.

It also probably doesn't help that the film has a rare scene in which an Asian man kisses a Caucasian woman.

While that scene, and Jang's role, could change perceptions of Asian men overseas, some say that Asian actors have a long way to go before that happens.

"Jackie Chan is a huge star in Hollywood and his image as a comedic and action star is what Westerners expect of Asian men - whether they are Chinese or Korean", said Yu Ji Na, a movie critic and film professor. "There is this fixed idea of what an Asian actor can do. If Korean actors want to appear as something other than a warrior, it's going to be very hard".

Culture critic Jeong Deok Hyun agrees.

"I think there should be a wider range of roles for Asian men", Jeong said. "To change the stereotype that Asian actors face, Korean filmmakers should try to produce a variety of films".

The Warrior's Way opens on 2nd December at Korea theaters nationwide and on Dec. 3 in the United States.
