In July 1, 2011 Shinhwa became the first pop group as a substantial shareholder, president of their own company in the Korean music industry history. Shinhwa Company is run by leader Eric as of now, however, after release of Min-Woo Lee from Korean mandatory military service in the February 2012, Min Woo and Eric will be co-representative to lead the entire activities expected to take in the Shinhwa Company.
Shinhwa Company just launched their official website (http://www.shinhwacompany.co.kr/) on February 1st. Along with a Shinhwa logo introduction (watch 1st trailer below), the boys also included a teaser for their upcoming 2012 concerts (watch 2nd trailer below).

After watching the debut performance of Teen Top with “Clap” on Music Core, for Shinhwa members Eric, Kim Dongwan and Andy, it was a case of “it feels like we’re watching ourselves from 10 years ago.”
Teen Top's Debut Performance @ Music Core - Clap [July 10, 2010]
Before their debut performance, Eric and Andy, who have been monitoring their practice, said that it felt like looking at Shinhwa preparing for their debut back then. Kim Dongwan also posted a photo of Teen Top on his personal blog, describing them as “Andy’s ambitious project” and helping to promote them.
Teen Top is a new group from Andy’s management company, and the group consists of members that Andy picked out from an open audition. The Shinhwa members are all helping to monitor their activities and putting all their support behind them.
After watching Teen Top’s debut performance, the Shinhwa members have apparently expressed their wish for Teen Top to perform Shinhwa’s songs on stage. “They’re the new group that can best pull off Shinhwa’s songs and stage performances.”
After the release of their debut track “Clap”, Teen Top has started sales of their single album on 12 July and will be kickstarting their broadcast activities. The MTV, which has been released, features After School's Lizzy. Watch below. Teen Top Single Album Vol. 2 - Transform is expected to be released on 17th January. Preorder now!

Teen Top has unveiled three (3) teasers for their song Supa Luv. The first two (2) stars Eric of Shinhwa (神话), while the third (3rd) and final one features Teen Top and only a flash shot of Eric.

As we can see, the friendship between the Shinhwa members has been headlining once again ever sinceEric made a surprise cameo in Teen Top’s music video teasers.
Many were confused by his appearance at first, wondering whether Eric himself was making a comeback, but it was finally revealed that Eric had subbed in for Andy to support and promote the group’s comeback. (Teen Top was produced by Andy, but the Shinhwa member is currently serving in the army).
Even though he finished filming his segment, Eric had stayed behind afterwards to encourage and monitor the Teen Top members. His help definitely paid off, as his seconds-long appearance in the group’s teaser created enough buzz for the video to rank on major portal and video sharing sites.
Officers-at-sea drama Poseidon starring Shinhwa Eric and TVXQ Yunho, has secured a place on SBS’s 2011 schedule, and will be coming to us as a Monday-Tuesday drama sometime in May. An SBS rep confirmed the news on the 28th, and although the drama doesn’t have a specific premiere date yet, that’ll probably depend on the broadcast runs of its predecessor shows.
Those would be SBS’s current Monday-Tuesday action show Athena: Goddess of War, to be followed by Lee Min-jung and Jang Hyuk’s stocks- and business-related drama Midas. The latter is tentatively planning for a March premiere, and whenever that wraps, Poseidon will step in.
Poseidon takes place out at sea as our two leads, Eric (Strongest Chil Woo) and Kim Kang-woo (Story of a Man), are plucked from the maritime police to be part of an elite force of counterterrorist officers, called the Poseidon team. Also starring are Kim Ok-bin (Thirst) and Jeon Hye-bin (Yacha), two lovely ladies who will probably mix things up on the romance front, as well as idol-actor U-Know Yunho, who’s hoping his second foray into dramas will shake out better than his disappointing debut (Heading to the Ground).
Hmm, the Athena-Midas-Poseidon lineup suggests that SBS is aiming to keep its Mondays and Tuesdays fixed on dramatic, star-studded, thriller and/or action-type fare. Interesting choice; if the shows do well, they could really sew up the timeslot. Generally, we’ve seen a lot of long-running dramas and light comedies air on those days. The counterprogramming seems to be doing all right for Athena at present.
For some reason, although Poseidon didn’t really land on my radar at first, I find I’m warming to the idea. Perhaps because it’s a world we haven’t seen in kdramas before, or perhaps it’s because I love the friends-or-rivals dynamic of the leads. (As Dr. Champ showed us, it’s a most excellent way to get our bromance fix.) And perhaps it’s also because I love Kim Kang-woo, and have missed Eric in the past two years that he’s been serving in the military.
Here are some behind-the-scene-photos taken at the shooting scene of Poseidon.
Boy band Shinhwa member Kim Dong-wan was discharged from the military today, completing the two-year duty required of all Korean men.

The 31-year-old singer of the group had served as a public service worker at a district office in Seoul since December 2008.
"I am really happy to be discharged from the military and glad to begin working again", Kim said in front of reporters and fans who gathered to see him. "I will make my return in Korea in January of next year and till then, I will pursue my activities in Japan starting with a fan meeting".
He went onto explain that his appearances on television have yet to be finalized while thanking fans for coming out to see him.
Kim made his debut as one of the lead singers of the six-member boy band Shinhwa in 1998. He also branched out into other aspects of entertainment, appearing in several dramas including "A Farewell to Sorrow" (KBS, 2005) and "My Dearest Love" (SBS, 2007) and movie "Spin Kick" (2004).
He will also sign with agency Live Works Company, who is in charge of managing fellow Shinhwa member Shin Hye-sung and songstress Sunmin, and hold a fan meeting in Seoul at Sangmyung University's Sangmyung Art Center on December 9.

Kim and his fellow member Eric Mun will visit Japan to see their fans again. Eric had joined the army first among the members of the group in October, 2008 and finished his duty by serving in the public service sector. After being discharged from the military duty on October 30, he will hold his first fan meetings at Yuport Hall in Tokyo on December 18 and at Archaic Hall in Hyogo Prefecture on December 19. Kim Dong Wan, who is now discharged from the army, will also hold a fan meeting at the Shinagawa Intercity Hall in Tokyo on December 18 to commemorate his military discharge. The tickets for the event had already been sold out right after beginning sales.
Kim will also hold fan meetings in Osaka on December 23 and in Fukuoka on December 26. In particular, Kim Dong Wan will officially debut in Japan by releasing his first solo album entitled “KIM DONGWAN JAPAN PREMIUM BEST” on December 15, and he will hold a live concert to commemorate his album release at the Fountain Square at Ikebukuro in Tokyo on December 16.
In addition, a project hanging orange flags and posters and playing BGM in the region of Shin-Okubo, which is the one of the Koreatowns in Japan and the mecca of Hallyu, will be prepared from December 3 until 19 to celebrate his return.

Ooh... my ideal type, Shinhwa's power dancer, Jun Jin (Hangul: 전진; Hanja: 前進; literal means "moving forward/advance; age: 30), has drawn a lot of attention recently due to his roller-coaster responses over a relationship rumor with Chae Min Seo (29).
At first, Junjin's agency denied it, and then they came forward to confirm that Junjin was indeed dating a celebrity female, which is the Korean actress Chae Min Seo, and stated, "their relationship is still in the early stages". The official further stated, "We didn’t lie about the female being a non-celebrity. We just wanted to be more careful since Chae Min Seo is a celebrity. We were going to later reveal the truth once their relationship is official."
When asked about how long the couple has been in a relationship, Jun Jin’s agency explained, “They’ve known each other for about 2 months, however to be honest, it shouldn’t be counted by months. They said that Chae Min Seo has been so busy that they haven’t been able to meet much. Their relationship is still entirely in the early stages. We hope you watch over them well.”
Later within 12 hours after the announcement, the agency said, "We found out that Junjin has nothing to do with Chae Min Seo after we confirmed with Junjin himself."
The official from Jun Jin's company said in the morning, "They are in relationship after they met by their friend's hookup." But they changed their statement later by saying, "After we asked Chae Min-seo's agency, we found out that they are not dating. Eating together a few times with friends does not necessarily lead to a relationship."
Jun Jin, or rather his agency, is taking a strange position about this scandal. Jun Jin is currently working as a public service worker and Chae Min Seo is shooting "Don't Know Her", after debut with movie "Champion" in 2002. Probably this rumor is just a promotional gimmick. Who knows? Anyway, Jun Jin's still young. I hope he will get himself the perfect girl. :D
Yes! My favourite Shinhwa (Hangul: 신화; Hanja: 神話) member and actor Eric Moon (real name: Mun Jung Hyuk; Hangul: 문정혁) is finally discharged from the army (on October 30th) and ready for showbiz after a long two-year wait. Eric enlisted as a civil service worker on October 9, 2008 after his exemption from active duty due to his back injury during his filming of "Wolf." He was the first member to serve, and fellow member Kim Dong Wan (Hanja: 金东万) followed soon thereafter. With the exception of Shin Hye Sung (Hangul: 신혜성; Hanja: 申彗星), all other Shinhwa members are now serving in the army.
Eric has been confirmed for the upcoming drama Poseidon in which he plays the character of Kim Seon Woo, a cheerful and tough coast guard officer who is selected to become a part of the coast guard commando team. I have watched Eric's roles in kdramas "Fire Bird" (aka BulSae or Phoenix) and "Super Rookie" (Hangul: 신입사원; Hanja: 新入社员 (菜鸟上班族)), and several Banjun dramas (反转剧); and swoon over his amazing charisma in 《情书》aka "Love Letter", a popular Korean variety show. He is totally charming and talented. I'm so looking forward to this new drama.
As reported, Poseidon is Korea's first TV series about the daily struggles coast guards face. This drama will be co-produced by Oh Sang Won and director Yoo Cheol Yong, whose works include dramas "All In" and "Heat", and will be written by scenarist Jo Gyoo Won of blockbuster hit series "IRIS" (this drama glued my bf's eyes to the screen).
Eric will be joining actors Kim Kang Woo and actress Kim Ok Bin who will act as one of the female special forces soldier. TVXQ member U-Know Yunho is also confirmed for the drama. The supporting cast members of "Poseidon" include Son Hyun Joo, Kim Gab Soo, Park Won Sook and Jin Hee Kyung. The cast is currently undergoing special forces and rescue training and preparing for the actual filming.
