Photos of Jang Geun Suk Married in New Drama “Marry Me, Mary!” aka “Mary Stayed Out All Night”

Your beautiful 美男 (mi nam) Jang Geun Suk (Hangul: 장근석; Chinese: 张根奭 or 张根锡) has a new korean drama currently on air called "Marry Me, Mary!" (International English Title: Mary Stayed Out All Night; Romanization: Maerineun Uibakjoong; Hangul: 매리는 외박중; Hanja: 玛丽外宿中). It is a romance comedy which centers around Wi Mae Ri who is a stubborn woman and the daughter of a failed businessman without much experience in dating. She starts to date tough rocker Kang Moo Kyul (Jang Geun Suk), but problems arise when a perfect guy with a good background and prestigious education, Byun Jung In (Kim Jae Wook), gets in the way.

This KBS2 drama is based on the popular internet comic "Maerineun Uibakjoong" by Won Su Yeon, who also wrote the comic "Full House" which was adapted into the 2004 KBS hit drama "Full House" starring Rain Bi and Song Hye Kyo (Chinese: 宋惠橋). "Maerineun Uibakjoong" was first published online via cartoon.media.daum.net on February 6, 2009. It was then published as comic book on November 24, 2009. The comic-adapted drama "Marry Me, Mary!" will be aired on Mondays and Tuesdays 21:55 (9:55pm) after "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" (Hangul: 성균관 스캔들; Hanja/Chinese: 成均馆绯闻).

The full main cast of Mary Stayed Out All Night (aka Mary Skipped the Curfew) include Moon Geun Young (who plays Mary) and Jang Geun Suk and Bad Guy‘s Kim Jae Wook (Hangul: 김재욱; Hanja: 金在彧). Kim will play the third leg of a romantic love triangle, a CEO who is “Korean by blood, Japanese in mind, and American in style.”

Plot Summary

Mary is a stubborn woman with not much experience in dating. She starts to date tough rocker Mu-Gyul (Jang Geun-Suk), but problems arise when perfect guy Jung-In gets in the way ....

Mary (Moon Geun-Young) is a young woman with the energy of the sun. She looks like her late mother, but her hot temper comes straight from her deadbeat father. Her father always makes troubles as a failed businessman, but she also loves him the most. Because Mary can't afford to pay her college tuition fees, she temporarily stops attending school. Without having any special skills, Mary starts to work odd jobs. One day, Mary's father proposes that Mary marries a man named Jung-In to pay off their debts. While Mary takes fake wedding pictures, Mary finds herself in the position of committing bigamy: marrying a second man. During Mary's first 100 days of marriage to two men, Mary starts to fall in love with Mu-Gyul. Then while working as Jung-In's secretary, she starts to develop feelings for him as well. Mary finds herself torn between two different men with different types of charm.

Mu-Gyul (Jang Geun-Suk) is the lead vocalist and guitarist for a rock band. He is chic and lives a carefree bohemian lifestyle. He doesn't talk much and only wants to make music. Mu-Gyul doesn't care about success. He also suffers trauma with his mother and, because of this, becomes tired of the women he dates and leaves them. Mu-Gyul is a bad guy to women. When it appears Mu-Gyul will never get married a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes about. He meets Mary, money becomes involved and a 100 days of marriage ensues. During this time, Mu-Gyul not knowing the meaning of family, surprisingly falls in love with Mary who is combative, loyal, and spunky. Mu-Gyul finds himself becoming a rival of Jung-In for Mary's love.

Jung-In (Kim Jae-Wook) is the president of music company JI Entertainment producing a music drama. Jung-In was born into a wealthy family and has never lacked money. Jung-In is also good looking and has good manners. Because of this, Jung-In appears to be highly eligible bachelor for marriage. But, Jung-In also has a cold side - he doesn't like becoming too close to people. His weakest point is that he can never say no to his father. He enters into a 100 day fake marriage with Mary and soon falls in love with Mary. Jung-In also comes across Mu-Gyul who will help fulfill Jung-In's dream in the music world. Mu-Gyul will also become a rival for Jung-In over Marry. Then Seo-Jun enters the picture.

Seo-Jun (Kim Hyo-Jin) is a sexy and sophisticated woman. She also comes from a rich family. Seo-Jun works as an actress, preferring to make movies rather than dramas. Seo-Jun broke up with Mu-Gyul about a year ago, but still occasionally attends his performances without his knowledge. She also has the same care-free spirit as Mu-Gyul. Seo-Jun then meets Mu-Gyul once again and makes a contract for a drama produced by Jung-In. Seo-Jun starts to develop feelings for Jung-In in a bizarre love triangle.

Fan-made Wallpapers & Posters of J-Drama "Last Friends"

My avid Juri fan friend Gab found some nice fan-made WPs and posters dedicated to "Last Friends" (Japanese: ラスト·フレンズ; Romanji: Rasuto Furenzu), a well-received Fuji TV jdrama (日劇) about domestic violence, homosexuality, gender identity disorder and trauma.

Some Background:

Ueno Juri (Kanji: 上野樹里) reunited with Nodame co-stars Eita (Kanji: 栄太; Chinese: 瑛太) and Asami Mizukawa (Kanji: 水川 あさみ), in Fuji TV's drama "Last Friends" as Ruka Kishimoto, a talented motocross racer with a hidden secret she cannot discuss with friends or family.

Taeko Asano (Kanji: 浅野妙子), the scriptwriter of Last Friends praised Ueno's acting of Ruka, stating that Ueno is a "natural genius" and that she became "the character itself". Ueno won "Best Supporting Actress" at the 12th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix and The 57th Television Drama Academy Awards for her role.

I too was very impressed with Ueno's acting in this drama but why was she only a supporting actress? She seems more like the lead actress, totally outshined Nagasawa Masami (Japanese: 長澤まさみ; Hiragana: ながさわ まさみ; Chinese: 長澤正美).
