Korea's long-lasting idol group Shinhwa (神话; 神話), who was chosen as the new CF model (replacing f(x) ) for fried chicken franchise brand "Chicken Mania", recently finished their photo shoot in October 2012 for the company's special-edition 2013 calendar that will be issued out to chicken lovers who order from their restaurants from December 3rd until the calendars run out of stock.

Each member was given a different concept during the shoot, such as Sweet Guy, Confession Man, Autumn Man, and New Year’s Greetings.

According to a staff member on set, the six members brought a cheerful and passionate atmosphere during the photo shoot that can’t be seen with younger idol groups.
Chicken Mania will be starting a new brand campaign with Shinhwa called "A Delicious Legend, the Shinhwa of Chicken" with new dishes to be launched on the menu.
A video advertisement for the popular Korean food, bibimbap, has been on display at Time Square in New York since November 26.
Produced by Muhandojeon, an entertainment show on MBC, the video uses representative aspects of Korean culture like farmer's musicn called "Nongak" in Korean, folk dances, non-verbal performances, and taekwondo to create the impression of a bowl of Bibimbap.
Last year, the same company had a print ad in the New York Times asking, "How about BIBIMBAP for lunch today?"
"Global trends in foods are turning towards eating healthy food like Bibimbap, which is rice mixed with vegetables and meat", said Seo Kyung-duk, a Korean PR expert and visiting professor at Sungshin Women's University. "We'll promote Bibimbap and Korea to the world through various media, including this advertisement and social network services", he added.
The advertisement will be displayed once every thirty minutes until the end of December.
The ‘Bibimbap’ advertisement produced by MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” is aired in New York’s iconic Times Square!
Last year, the members of “Infinity Challenge” worked to spread international awareness about Korean cuisine and decided to create an advertisement for ‘bibimbap‘, as inspired from the famous ‘Nanta‘ performances. Bibimbap is a popular dish that has a white rice base, which is then layered with a colorful and fresh mix of vegetables and meat; a cracked egg sits on top, and it’s all mixed together with some Korean chili pepper paste.
Over 200 different students from Seoul Arts University participated in the CF, in addition to the “Infinity Challenge” members and the Nanta performers. The result was a stunning and vibrant CF, which also exhibited other traditional Korean arts such as nongak, janggu dance, tae kwon do, the fan dance, and ganggangsullae.
The 30-second CF is featured on Times Square’s TQS electronic display from November 25th to the end of December; it will play twice per hour for a total of 48 plays a day.

Boys Over Flowers (꽃보다 남자/花より男子/流星花园) actor Kim Bum (Hangul: 김범; Hanja: 金范; born Kim Sang Beom, July 7, 1989) recently paired up with actress Hwang Jung Eum (Hangul: 황정음; born December 25, 1984) for a new food CF, and are receiving attention for the special ‘heart dance’ they performed in it.
On October 15th, Kim Bum and Hwang Jung Eum shot a CF together at the D' Maris / 드마리스 seafood buffet restaurant. The story was about a celebrity couple enjoying a delicious date together at D' Maris, where over 500 dishes (including steak, sushi, and spaghetti) are served. After eating steak repeatedly for the numerous retakes of a single scene, Kim Bum joked, ‘If I don’t eat another steak for a while, I would be fine.‘
Aside from enjoying the delicious food, the couple also showed their ‘heart couple’ dance, in which they make a heart shape with their arms. Kim Bum surprised many with his hidden dancing talent, while performing to the D' Maris theme song.
Actor Song Joong Ki (Hanja: 宋钟基) and actress Kim Byul(Hanja: 金星) have teamed up to model for Fujifilm’s polaroid camera, “INSTAX”.
Captioned “The only story of ours in this world”, the CF for the product casted the pair as love interests who document their romantic story with snapshots from the Fujifilm camera.
The CF started airing on the 1st and is already gaining many compliments from the actors’ fans.
Fans commented, “Kim Byul is so pretty, that’s all I can say,” “Handsome man and beautiful girl meet,” “This reminds me of my first love,” and “If my model was Kim Byul, I would take many more pictures to take them home.”
The company’s marketing rep said, “Kim Byul’s cute and lovely image will target our consumers who are in their 20’s. The two will model the item well.”
